In Changshanzi Village, Da Township, Xinmin City, adjacent to the famous Juiliu River, stands the Millennium Oak (pronounced "Li"). Climb up the approximately 40-meter-high Changshanzi Mountain, round a bend, and you’ll see a grand tree with a sprawling canopy.

The tree grows at the summit of the mountain, standing out prominently among the surrounding fruit trees, and is covered with red wish ribbons.

This is the King of Oaks, a tree that has stood for nearly a thousand years. It is the oldest oak discovered so far in Liaoning Province and also one of the most ancient oaks in northern China. The tree has a girth of over 5 meters, a diameter of more than 1 meter, and a canopy covering an area of about 400 square meters—equivalent to over half an acre. It takes three people to encircle its trunk. There is a 300-year-old ancient oak in Beiling Park, but its trunk is only one-third as thick.
