Wukesong Gymnasium
Wukesong Gymnasium is a key project of the Wukesong Cultural and Sports Center, with a construction area of 63,000 square meters and a seating capacity of approximately 18,000.
Beijing Olympic Basketball Gymnasium
It is an important milestone in Beijing’s preparations for the Olympics, marking the steady and active progress of the city's Olympic venue construction. After the Games, it will primarily host basketball competitions, with various domestic and international major basketball events expected to be held here.
The Beijing Olympic Basketball Gymnasium is the largest Olympic venue in western Beijing. It is a modern, fully equipped comprehensive gymnasium with advanced design and complete functions, capable of hosting a variety of large-scale events and cultural performances after the Olympics.
Wukesong Gymnasium will become one of the few competition venues in China designed exclusively for basketball. This feature is reflected in multiple aspects, including the playing court, stands, and players' locker rooms.
Most notably, Wukesong Gymnasium plans to draw on the strengths of NBA arenas in the United States by installing multiple large screens onsite, helping to create an electrifying game atmosphere.
As one of the most advanced sports venues in China, Wukesong Gymnasium offers multiple usage functions. It can host various large-scale competitions such as basketball, badminton, table tennis, and handball, as well as major cultural performances, and can accommodate naming rights from well-known enterprises, institutions, and individuals.
After the Olympic Games, the gymnasium will be fully operated by its owner, Beijing Wukesong Cultural and Sports Center Co., Ltd. The company will collaborate with internationally renowned venue operators to ensure the optimal post-Games utilization of Wukesong Gymnasium.
