Madian Park
Madian Park is located at the northwest corner of Madian Bridge on Beijing’s North Third Ring Road, bordering the Badaling Expressway to the east, Guanchengyuan Residential Community to the west, North Third Ring Middle Road to the south, and North Tucheng West Road to the north. The planned site stretches 700 meters from north to south and 80–160 meters from east to west, covering a total area of 8.6 hectares. It is the largest sports-themed recreational park near the Third Ring Road. Completed in 2003, Madian Park includes various activity areas such as the Central Dynamic Square, Waterside Square, Happy Valley, Fun Activity Zone, Field Activity Zone, and Equipment Activity Zone.
The park broke ground in August 2003 and officially opened to the public on April 28, 2004, free of charge.
The design of Madian Park emphasizes a people-oriented and green-focused approach, integrating landscapes with activity spaces to create a place where humans and nature coexist. It provides residents with a green space for sports, leisure, and fitness. The design strives to blend functionality with aesthetics, merging “sports” into “nature” to offer the public a modern recreational space that is both “green” and “healthy.”
