Peking University Centennial Memorial Hall was built in the Yan Garden to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Peking University. It is a modern, multi-functional campus theater. Every year, it hosts numerous cultural performances, film screenings, lectures, ceremonies, conferences, exhibitions, press conferences, and other events.

Peking University Centennial Memorial Hall is an important hub for cultural exchange at Peking University. Numerous global political and economic figures have delivered speeches here, and it regularly stages both classic and cutting-edge theatrical productions—such as original Shakespearean plays by the British TNT Theatre, ballet performances by the National Ballet of China and the Moscow Ballet, traditional Kunqu Opera such as "The Peony Pavilion," as well as influential lectures. I personally watched the modern play "I Love Peach Blossom," written by Zou Jingzhi and performed by the Malongshe Troupe, at Peking University Centennial Memorial Hall, and found the experience excellent—the interaction between the audience and performers was something even the National Centre for the Performing Arts doesn't offer.
