Beiwu Park

Beiwu Park is located at the foot of Yuquan Mountain in Beijing. Originally a natural village in the urban-rural fringe of the city, it has been transformed into a park. The park complements the nearby Summer Palace and Yuquan Mountain, showcasing a style that highlights historical and cultural heritage while also incorporating modern elements.

The park covers an area of 711 mu and is divided into the East Garden and the West Garden. The East Garden frames views of the Summer Palace and Yuquan Mountain, featuring four major scenic areas, the most famous of which is the 290-mu Ministerial Forest. The West Garden is situated north of Beiwu Jiayuan and includes various open spaces for local residents to relax, enjoy leisure activities, and organize festive celebrations.

Climbing up to the small hill in the park, you’ll be greeted by a sudden panoramic view: the calm lake surface below, with green mountains and trees reflected in the water, creating a particularly beautiful and tranquil scene. From the viewing platform, you can not only see the nearby Yuquan Mountain but also, on clear days, catch a glimpse of the Tower of Buddhist Incense in the Summer Palace.

Address: Beiwu Park, Beiwu Park Road (West), Haidian District, Beijing
