Wujiao Lake Reservoir, also known as Deshengtai Reservoir, is located in the central part of Fanhe Township, Tieling County. It is a wetland formed by the alluvial deposits of the Dongliao River as it flows through Tieling County. To the north lies Yazi Lake on the southern bank of the Liao River, to the south are connected Wujiao Lake, Shuipolu, and Yuanyang Lake, and to the west is Camel Lake. A dozen or so lakes and ponds of various sizes are linked together, covering an area of over ten square kilometers. One of the “Eight Scenic Spots of Tieling,” known as “Mandarin Ducks Sailing Under the Moon,” takes place here. Wujiao Lake is a completely natural body of water, untouched by artificial alteration. It features dozens of acres of reeds and cattails, and every spring, the lake becomes a paradise for waterfowl, with dozens of bird species inhabiting and breeding here.
