China University of Political Science and Law is a central government-affiliated institution of higher learning characterized by its excellence in legal studies and coordinated development across multiple disciplines, including political science, sociology, history, economics, management, linguistics, and education. It is a national key university under the People’s Republic of China. The university is among the key institutions supported by the “211 Project,” the “985 Project” platform for innovation in advantageous disciplines, a high-level industry-oriented university, and one of the first universities selected for the “2011 Plan.” It is also one of only two humanities and social sciences universities approved under the “111 Project.” The university is the most prestigious law and political science institution on the Chinese mainland and is hailed as the “foremost academy of legal studies in China.”
