The Tomb of the Li Chengliang Family

The Tomb of the Li Chengliang Family is a cultural tourism attraction.

The site of Li Chengliang’s tomb is located in Xinfen Village, Cuizhenbao Township. In front of the tomb there were once stone tablets, stone figures, and stone horses, but due to years of neglect, they have been buried underground. The tomb of Li Rushuang is in Xiaotun Village, Cuizhenbao Township, where some stone figures, stone horses, and stone sheep still remain. The attire of the stone figures can still be seen, and the forms of the stone horses and sheep are still recognizable.

Li Chengliang (1526–1615) was a famous general of the Ming Dynasty. His courtesy name was Ruchi, he was of Korean ethnicity, and came from Tieling. He served twice as the General-in-Chief of Liaodong and achieved numerous military successes during his tenure.

Li Rushuang (1549–1598), courtesy name Zimao, style name Yangcheng, was a native of Tieling Wei, Liaodong. As the eldest son of Li Chengliang, the General-in-Chief of Liaodong, he was a renowned general of the Ming Dynasty. In the mid-Wanli era, he was sent to aid Korea and gained everlasting fame for his achievements in resisting the Japanese. Among these, his command of the world-famous Imjin War against the Japanese invaders stands out as particularly commendable. He later served as the General-in-Chief of Liaodong and died in battle against Mongol tribes.
