Gangshan Scenic Area

Gangshan Scenic Area is located in Nankouqian Town, Qingyuan Manchu Autonomous County, Fushun City. It boasts a prime location and convenient transportation, being just 3.5 kilometers from Nankouqian Station and only 500 meters from the Nankouqian exit of the Shenyang–Jilin Expressway. The scenic area covers an area of 7,000 mu, with the main peak standing at an elevation of 574 meters and a forest coverage rate of 98%.

In 2015, Gangshan successfully hosted large-scale events such as the “Meet in the Flower Sea, Hand in Hand 1+1” wedding fashion show and the first Qingyuan Gangshan Eco-Outdoor Tourism Festival, receiving over 100,000 visitors throughout the year.

In 2016, the scenic area continued to increase construction investment, building new facilities including a 6,700-square-meter parking lot, a 300-square-meter visitor center, and the “Mountain Village” themed area. Additional attractions were also introduced, such as a 100-meter colorful windmill path consisting of 22,400 windmills, a 300-meter retro observation corridor, a 3,000-square-meter thematic wedding lawn, an ornamental pond, a butterfly garden, and a reptile park. The flower sea area expanded by 150 mu this year, reaching approximately 500 mu, featuring a variety of flowers such as verbena, gaillardia, coreopsis, and climbing aster. Two ecological outdoor nature trails totaling 1,500 meters were also constructed on Gangshan. Visitors can not only immerse themselves in the flower sea but also hike along the nature trails to reach the viewing platform and take in the natural beauty of the entire scenic area. Moreover, they can climb to the summit of Gangshan via mountain hiking trails to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view.

In 2016, the scenic area hosted a variety of vibrant festival events, including the second Qingyuan Gangshan Eco-Outdoor Tourism Festival. It was also officially designated as a photography base by the Liaoning Provincial Tourism Photography Association, providing photographers with an excellent platform for creative shoots. Through the widespread sharing of their stunning works on emerging social media platforms such as Weibo and WeChat, more people have come to know about Gangshan and are drawn to its flower sea.

Nankouqian Town is located in the western part of Qingyuan Manchu Autonomous County. Its government seat is 30 kilometers from the county seat of Qingyuan. National Highways (both new and old) 202 and the Shenyang–Jilin Railway run east-west through the town, making transportation very convenient. The town covers a total area of 334 square kilometers, comprising 19 administrative villages and three neighborhood committees, with a total population of 26,346, including 20,515 agricultural residents. The arable land area is 30,000 mu, and the forested area spans 260,000 mu. There are eight enterprises owned by the town, employing 316 people.
