Bayi Lake
Bayi Lake was dredged into a lake in the 38th year of the Qianlong Emperor’s reign during the Qing Dynasty (1773). Later, a new lake of about 10 hectares was dug to the south of the old lake, shaped like a gourd. The east and west ends of the old and new lakes meet, and the reflection of the China Central Television Tower can be seen in the water.
