Gem Plaza

The Floral & Gem Plaza is one of the three key urban construction projects undertaken by the municipal government in 1998, expanded from the original Floral Garden. Construction began in April 1998 and was completed and put into use in early August.

The Floral & Gem Plaza covers a total area of 12,555 square meters (135 meters north-south and 93 meters east-west). The plaza is primarily designed with plants as the main feature, supplemented by marble paving, and is divided into three functional areas:

(1) Southern Plant Viewing Area. The garden includes 30 floral arrangements and is planted with over 40 varieties of perennial and outdoor flowers. The surrounding flower beds are equipped with lawn lights and automatic sprinkler systems, while the outer garden features mushroom-shaped stone benches, accented with flower pots and trellises. It showcases vibrant floral colors and graceful tree shapes.

(2) Central Cultural Plaza Area. Covering an area of 5,000 square meters, the ground is paved with natural granite, inlaid with a bronze mirror, granite diamond patterns, a steel transparent colorful gate, and granite Big Dipper stones. It offers a rich cultural ambiance and a high level of technological integration.

(3) Northern Flower Exhibition and Service Area. The flower exhibition hall has a total area of 650 square meters and features European architectural style, displaying various cut flowers, gift flowers, potted plants, and greenhouse flowers. There is also an audio room, management office, and nesting areas for pigeons. It serves as a comprehensive venue for vegetation education.
