Haicheng Silver Pagoda is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Silver Pagoda is situated on the northern mountain of Xitazi Valley Village, Jiewen Town, Haicheng. From its architectural style and the attire of the figures in the brick carvings, it shows features of the Liao and Jin dynasties. It was extensively renovated during the Ming dynasty, with some parts also bearing Ming-era characteristics. It stands 15.58 meters high and is a hexagonal, nine-tiered, dense-eave solid brick pagoda. The pagoda is white in color, which is why it is called the Silver Pagoda. This structure has an elegant design, surrounded by brick railings with carved patterns including herons, tigers, lotus leaves, and aquatic plants. Between the base and the main body of the pagoda, there are carved lotus petal patterns, and the top is adorned with a lotus-petal-shaped precious bottle. The Silver Pagoda is one of the best-preserved Liao dynasty dense-eave solid brick pagodas in Liaoning Province. In terms of its sculptural artistry, period style, architectural techniques, and scale, it holds significant scientific, historical, and unique artistic value.

Construction control zone: a second-level control zone within 45 meters outside the protected area, and a third-level control zone within 30 meters outside the second-level zone.

Jiewen Town: Jiewen Town is located 35 kilometers southeast of Haicheng City. The town covers a total area of 172 square kilometers and has a population of 23,000.

Jiewen Town is rich in resources. The town’s main industries are forestry, fruit, and sericulture production, with apples and pointed pears being particularly famous. Mineral products include granite, silica, and calcite, among which granite has the largest reserves and highest quality.
