Red Beach Scenic Corridor

The Red Beach Scenic Corridor is a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Liaohe Estuary Red Beach Tourist Area is situated on the right bank of the Liaohe River in Panjin City and includes the famous Shuangtaihe Estuary National Nature Reserve. Within this 1.2 million-mu wetland and reed marsh along the Bohai Sea coast, more than 260 bird species, such as red-crowned cranes and Saunders’s gulls, thrive. Relying on the world’s most well-preserved and extensive wetland resources, and set against the backdrop of the rare red beaches and the world’s largest reed marshes, it forms a pristine green ecological tourism system where nature and cultural landscapes blend seamlessly. The Liaohe Estuary Red Beach Tourist Area has invested 320 million yuan to complete its initial development projects, including a visitor center, Red Beach Dock, a 10,000-meter sightseeing corridor, a reed sea maze, and restaurants. A uniquely designed eco-style faux-wooden antique building, covering 600 square meters, complements the 50,000-square-meter Mandarin Duck Lake. Visitors can enjoy a wholly new experience—either boating on the emerald waters or fishing by the pavilions. The 10,000-meter Red Sea Sightseeing Corridor stretches 15 kilometers along the right bank of the Liaohe River estuary and the coastline southwest to Sandaogou Fishing Port Dock. It traverses wetlands and combines both land and water routes, running alongside the river and the sea, connecting two zones. Here, you can witness the world’s natural wonder—the red beach—and observe the “sea pandas,” the spotted seals.
