Oilfield Forest of Towers
Dawa County is the main production area of China's third-largest oilfield — the Liaohe Oilfield. Within the county, oil drilling towers and offshore drilling platforms stand in great numbers, creating a striking contrast with the rolling rice fields, reed marshes, and the sea. Especially captivating are the artificial islands established by the Liaohe Oilfield offshore, such as Chrysanthemum Island, Sun Island, and Sunflower Island No. 1. Industrial sightseeing, petroleum science tourism, and offshore oilfield landscape tours hold great potential.
