The Prince River rafting project is located in the water section from downstream of the Canwo Reservoir Dam to beneath the provincial cultural heritage site — Yanzhou City. This stretch of water spans a total of 10 kilometers, featuring currents that are suitably varied in intensity, winding and twisting with great thrill. The water has minimal drop and a depth between one and two meters, making it highly suitable for rafting.

The surrounding scenery is picturesque. While enjoying the thrill of rafting, visitors can also take in views of emerald peaks and rocky cliffs, the Nine-Linked Cave, and the ruins of Yanzhou City, adding a unique charm to the experience. Currently completed, the Prince River Rafting — now hailed as the “No. 1 Rafting Experience in Northeast China” — can accommodate up to 500 visitors per day.

The Prince River Scenic Area is located at Section 5, Zhonghua Street, Liaoyang City, situated along the eastern bank of the Prince River. The scenic area connects to the urban district in the west and faces Hedong Village in the east, stretching from Beishaio Sluice Bridge in the north to Manguan Water Pipe Bridge in the south, covering a total length of 3,260 meters.

The Prince River Scenic Area is richly planted with flowers, grasses, and trees, offering excellent greenery. The area features sightseeing plazas, 3,400 meters of landscaped pathways, as well as uniquely designed pavilions, small architectural features, and sculptures. There are 13 attractions in the scenic area, including the “Rainbow Resting on the River,” the “Ruins of the Dragon King’s Night Crossing,” and water sightseeing boats. A natural bathing beach is also available by the river, making it an ideal spot for sightseeing, resting, swimming, and cooling off.

Rafting is available on the Prince River, covering the route from downstream of the Canwo Reservoir Dam to beneath Yanzhou City. This section of water stretches 10 kilometers in length, with suitably varied currents, winding turns, picturesque scenery, and opportunities to view emerald peaks and rocky cliffs, the Nine-Linked Cave, and the ruins of Yanzhou City, all adding a special charm to the journey.
