The 5th Hebei Cultural & Economic Cooperation Week in Taiwan was held from October 20 to 26. Zhang Jiehui, Vice Governor of the Hebei Provincial Government, also led a delegation to Taiwan to engage with local industry players on topics such as economy, culture, and tourism.

At today’s (October 21) Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Development & Winter Olympics Business Opportunities Briefing, in addition to the delegation from Hebei, industry representatives from Taiwan’s business and tourism sectors also participated. Zhang Jiehui, who led the delegation, noted that Hebei is the only Chinese province with 8 major landforms, and it also boasts 4 categories and 8 sites of World Cultural Heritage, ranking third nationwide in the number of national key cultural relics protection units. With abundant tourism resources, over 100,000 Taiwanese tourists visited Hebei last year.

Taiwan’s Dingyun Travel Agency also mentioned that during winter, visitors to Hebei can enjoy skiing at Wanlong Ski Resort in Zhangjiakou; depending on the season, they can also relax in the hot springs at Mingtang Sun Moon Lake, admire the lotus flowers in Baiyangdian, or explore important cultural and historical sites such as Longxing Temple and the Western Qing Tombs. In addition, areas such as Zhangbei Bashang Grassland and Zhongdu Grassland offer magnificent natural landscapes, providing Taiwanese visitors with a rare and memorable experience.
