Max happiness points！Korea’s popular chain store – Ultra-creamy red bean bread with whipped cream

This Kwanggyeon? Chaeyonggyo whipped cream red bean bread is now a nationwide famous shop in Korea, originating from Daegu. Actually, I think Korea’s chain store development is much more widespread and advanced than in Taiwan. Once a shop becomes famous in a certain area, it usually expands into a national chain. So even if you don’t go to Daegu, you can still enjoy this burst-in-your-mouth whipped cream red bean bread.

The branch in Busan’s Seomyeon is very close to Exit 7 and also near Lotte. It was the first evening after my mom and I arrived in Busan and were staying at the Busan Business Hotel when we saw it while out shopping at night.

There were only these left on the shelves at night—I imagine they’re fully stocked during the day.

Their samples are incredibly generous.

Two pieces are enough.

Personally, I prefer my whipped cream semi-melted. Some people say they like it frozen because it gives the feeling of eating ice cream, but I personally prefer it melted because I want that smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture.

I bought one for 2,000 KRW and brought it back to the hotel as a late-night snack.

It’s not a small size, and there’s even a note saying it stays fresh for 72 hours.

One small bite and the filling bursts out—isn’t this the classic thin crust, big filling?

The whipped cream is super delicious. Absolutely delicious—completely not greasy and very refreshing. I wonder if they removed all the fat? Why doesn’t it feel oily at all? The slightly sweet whipped cream pairs with the sweet red bean filling. I didn’t find it overly sweet, so most people should be able to enjoy it. The highlight is that they give way too much whipped cream—although I love it, it feels like I’ll gain weight just eating it. I gave half to my mom after eating half. I think two people sharing one is perfect, and one person eating a whole one is pure indulgence. I wonder how many Koreans eat per person?
