Travel Center / Comprehensive Report
Following the construction of Taiwan’s longest 54-meter terrazzo slide, scenic grassy slopes, and a living water ecological pond in earlier phases, Hsinchu’s Qingqing Grassland is set to evolve further. In the third phase, the newly upgraded Qingqing Grassland will feature a “Love Ring” proposal lawn, “Wild Grass Mounds,” and over 4,000 aquatic plants planted around the second ecological pond along with bald cypress trees, creating an ecological pond landscape and a hidden grassland sanctuary.
Covering an area of 64 hectares, the first and second phases introduced family-friendly play equipment and natural landscapes, complemented by the Hot Air Balloon Festival, making Qingqing Grassland the most popular “natural ecological family playground” in northern Taiwan. The third phase not only adds multifunctional landscapes such as the “Curved Swing” and “Love Ring” lawn for resting, wedding photography, and Instagram-worthy photo spots, but also includes a “Landscape Play Area” and multiple swings. Children can engage with the grassland ecology through climbing, jumping, swinging, balancing, and other physical activities.

Additionally, the most popular attraction at Qingqing Grassland — the terrazzo slide — will be extended by 7 meters, becoming a super-long 61-meter slide, and the safety mats will also be upgraded. The second ecological pond will undergo water purification, with over 4,000 aquatic plants planted along the water’s edge to form a protective bank, along with 45 strategically placed bald cypress trees. It is expected to become another new attraction for enjoying the winter beauty of bald cypress trees.
