The newly built Little Zhuilu Trail in Taroko National Park will open to the public on November 2. The trail is approximately 650 meters long and is equipped with facilities such as interpretive signs, directional signs, guardrails, and viewing platforms along the route. Visitors can walk from the Taroko Plateau along the sidewalk on the left side of the Shakadang Tunnel for about 330 meters to reach the East Vent, then enter the Little Zhuilu Trail through the East Vent. It takes about 20 minutes to complete the entire hike.

The Taroko National Park Administration stated that in recent years, the number of visitors to Taroko has grown rapidly. The Little Zhuilu Trail connects the Taroko Visitor Center with the Shakadang Trail, providing an additional nature experience for visitors. At the same time, it helps divert tourist flow and alleviate the limited parking pressure at the Shakadang parking lot, serving as a traffic relief measure.

The Little Zhuilu Trail is built within the broadleaf forest on the northern slope of the Liwu River. As you walk along the trail, the left side features a marble cliff. Although not as massive as the Zhuilu Cliff, the terrain is steep, hence the name “Little Zhuilu Trail.” Most sections of the trail are made of wood-like boardwalks, surrounded by dense forests and adjacent to the Liwu River. In addition, there is a suspension bridge that crosses a small stream valley on the trail.
