Tigerair Taiwan today (4th) announced that it will launch a new route between Taoyuan and Tokyo Haneda starting December 19, with ticket sales going online on November 5. Initially, four flights will operate per week; the outbound flight IT216 departs from Taoyuan Airport at 23:50, while the return flight IT217 leaves Tokyo Haneda at 05:00.

Tigerair Taiwan’s new Taoyuan–Tokyo Haneda route will initially operate four flights per week; the outbound flight IT216 departs from Taoyuan Airport at 23:50, while the return flight IT217 leaves Tokyo Haneda at 05:00. Travelers can take advantage of the red-eye flight timing to arrive in Tokyo early in the morning and enjoy a full day of sightseeing.

To celebrate the new route,Tigerair Taiwan will also launch a limited-time flash sale from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM today (5th) on its official website, offering one-way untaxed tickets for just NT$999 for seven hours only; valid for travel dates from the launch date until March 26, 2016.



Tigerair Taiwan stated that Haneda Airport is close to downtown Tokyo, and travelers can reach Hamamatsucho Station in central Tokyo in just 13 minutes via the monorail, making it both convenient and cost-effective. Starting December 19, 2015, Tigerair Taiwan will operate 18 weekly flights to Tokyo, allowing passengers to choose between entering or exiting Tokyo via either Narita or Haneda airports. This provides passengers with more flight options and greater flexibility in planning their itineraries.

Currently, Tigerair Taiwan operates round-trip routes to several Japanese destinations including Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai, and Okinawa Naha. Among these, both Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai have flights departing from both Taoyuan and Kaohsiung. The new Taoyuan–Tokyo Haneda route will be Tigerair Taiwan’s sixth Taiwan–Japan route and the only low-cost carrier offering flights between Taoyuan and both of Tokyo’s airports—Narita and Haneda.
