Harry Potter and the Cursed Child goes on sale—sold out in eight hours!

The highly anticipated Harry Potter stage play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, is set to premiere in London in 2016.According to travel website Lonely Planet,tickets went on sale at the end of October and were snapped up within just eight hours.
Due to overwhelming demand, the website experienced severe traffic congestion. Organizers even extended the show schedule through 2017, with tickets available online. However, shortly after the sale began, scalpers started offering tickets at inflated prices, with some listings as high as £2,000 (approximately NT$100,000)!
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series. Although many consider it a prequel, author J.K. Rowling has clarified that “the eighth story takes place 19 years later.” The story is divided into two parts.
