ITF Travel Expo / Big-name Japanese retailers join in: Ito Yokado and Don Quijote both present

The Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF) is being held from the 6th to the 9th at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 and Hall 3, with the Japan Pavilion being the largest exhibitor with 136 booths. The booths are spread across two exhibition areas on the first and second floors — the first floor has 111 booths and the second floor has 25, offering services related to shopping and tax-free purchases for independent travelers and road trippers. To boost visibility, Ito Yokado and Don Quijote, both of which have over 100 stores in Japan, are setting up booths in Taiwan.

The Japan Tourism Promotion Agency stated that this exhibition has, for the first time, invited Japanese shopping organizations as well as Japanese car rental companies to participate, providing relevant information for independent travelers. Ito Yokado, which has over 100 stores in Japan, is attending the fair. A common shopping destination for everyday Japanese life, Ito Yokado features numerous in-house brands, ranging from fresh supermarkets and prepared foods to clothing. Its well-known product “Snow Beauty Essence” was launched here. At the travel fair, playing a slot machine game earns you a small gift, and it has also partnered with travel agencies to offer tour packages.

Don Quijote, which is very popular among Taiwanese travelers, is also attending. The store sells a variety of products including cosmetics, food, and electronics, and is loved for its long operating hours and convenience. Playing mini-games at the fair also earns participants gifts, attracting many travelers to line up.
