No need to hop on a plane to experience “Thai” vibes—majestic ancient Thai architecture can be seen right here in Taiwan. The grand stilt house structures stand within a over 1,000-ping estate in Pingtung, surrounded by numerous Thai carvings. Pavilions, thatched huts, and garden landscapes all exude a strong Southeast Asian flavor, bringing an exotic touch to southern Taiwan.

The stilt houses are modeled after those once inhabited by royalty and nobility a century ago, constructed from various hardwoods such as teak, beech, and rosewood. Their brick-red hue enhances their traditional charm. The classic thatched huts offer a cozy spot to sit on the floor. The estate features richly designed gardens, with the “Mekong River” flowing through it. Stroll along the cobblestone paths surrounded by lush greenery, and when night falls, the warm lighting creates a particularly romantic atmosphere.
