Haidilao, the famous mainland Chinese hotpot chain that officially opened in Taiwan on September 20, has reportedly raised its menu prices after two months of operation. Store manager Li Yu stated that the price adjustments were made after some time since the Taiwan opening, primarily to improve ingredient quality. The average increase is around 10%, affecting approximately 80% of the menu items, with the goal of providing better ingredients to Taiwanese customers. However, after comparing the old and new menus, most of the increased items saw price hikes of around 20–30%, with only pork belly slices, pork collar, and plain rice seeing increases exceeding 40%—at 44%, 47%, and 50%, respectively.

For broths, the large pots remain unchanged, with spicy, mushroom, tomato, and seafood hotpots priced at NT$480, NT$420, NT$480, and NT$420 respectively. All individual portions have increased by NT$20, with new prices of NT$150, NT$130, NT$150, and NT$130. Among the most popular meat options, Australian wagyu (NT$980 per portion, the same unit applies below), American premium sirloin (NT$650), and lamb slices remain unchanged. Premium boneless beef short ribs rose from NT$490 to NT$590 (a 20% increase); premium beef (肥牛) increased from NT$260 to NT$320 (23%); pork belly slices jumped from NT$180 to NT$260 (44%); pork collar rose from NT$190 to NT$280 (47%); and luncheon meat increased from NT$190 to NT$210 (10%).

All signature dishes have also seen price increases: Haidilao-style tender beef slices rose from NT$320 to NT$360 (12%); layered tripe from NT$270 to NT$290 (7%); regular tripe from NT$210 to NT$270 (28%); and Haidilao’s iconic noodle dish—which comes with a performance—saw the largest hike, rising from NT$60 to NT$110 (a 50% increase, over 80%).

For seafood, abalone (NT$400) and snow crab legs (NT$960) remain unchanged, while mussels have been removed. Other seafood items generally increased by NT$20–50, with price hikes ranging from 5% to 24%. Vegetables mostly increased by NT$20–30, with hikes of about 20%–36%; the biggest jump was napa cabbage, rising from NT$88 to NT$120 (36%).

Apart from certain items that didn’t see price changes, alcoholic beverages—including Chinese liquor, imported spirits, drinks, red wine, and beer—remain the same. Self-service sauces, originally priced at NT$90, have actually been reduced to NT$50, a 44% decrease.
