Traveling in Hualien is so convenient now, and you no longer have to worry about not knowing where to play!The Hualien County Government has set up “Information Booths” at four locations: Qixingtan, the Cultural and Creative Industries Park, the Sugar Factory Scenic Area, and Dongmen Night Market, which are now all in operation. Aside from offering tourism consultations, visitors can also take part in a “Stamp Collection & Grand Prize Draw.”

The “Information Booths” provide local information on food, accommodation, tours, shopping, and transportation, as well as free Wi-Fi access and drinking water refill services. Visitors can also pick up free walking maps and tourism brochures, or scan QR codes to quickly access nearby dining and entertainment information via cloud-based networks.

Peng Weizu, Acting Director of the Tourism Department, said that to help travelers better understand and use the Information Booths, the Hualien County Government has specially launched a “Stamp Collection & Lucky Draw” event. Visitors can get a stamp-collecting postcard at any Information Booth, collect stamps from two different booths, and mail the postcard back to an integration company (No. 832, Section 3, Central Road, Hualien City) to join the draw. Prizes include smartphones, instant cameras, and travel tumblers, with the event ending on December 6th.
