Nantou’s Qingjing Farm Welcomes Christmas with 999 Fluorescent White Roses Illuminating the Little Switzerland Garden

As Christmas draws near, Nantou’s Qingjing Farm — known for its beautiful mountains, scenic views, and fresh air — has begun decorating its Little Switzerland Garden with 999 white roses and pink lanterns starting today. The site also debuts Taiwan’s first-ever hot air balloon-shaped OPEN light installation. This romantic blend of Eastern and Western aesthetics will accompany visitors through Christmas, New Year’s, and all the way until the end of February 2016.

A vast sea of white roses sets off the waterside chapel in Little Switzerland Garden, exuding a romantic vibe. Qingjing Farm used 999 fluorescent roses for the decoration. In daylight, under the sun, they are radiant white blooms, but at night, they emit a soft white glow — reminiscent of the LED rose seascape at Seoul’s Dongdaemun Design Plaza.

In addition to the vast rose light display, Qingjing Farm this year has also broken away from traditional festive lighting styles by debuting Taiwan’s only hot air balloon-shaped OPEN light installation, along with 999 traditional pink Chinese lanterns symbolizing celebration. These decorations line the pathways and cross over roads, allowing visitors to experience a Chinese-style Christmas atmosphere. The lighting event runs from now until February 29, 2016.
