TransAsia Airways said that this desktop calendar underwent a six-month planning process, covering casting, location scouting, and photography. All featured individuals are employees of the airline. This year’s calendar also moves away from heavily post-produced images, adopting themed situational photos for a more natural and approachable feel. In addition to the monthly featured flight attendants, staff from the marketing and customer service departments, as well as pilots and maintenance crew, have become the stars of the calendar, showcasing their professionalism.

The 2016 TransAsia calendar was printed in 6,000 copies, available only as gifts, not for sale. Aside from being given to business partners, the calendars will also be distributed to travelers during various marketing events. TransAsia stated that this year, the airline will continue to support Christmas charity activities, joining the shoebox gift collection campaign to bring warmth to children.
