1. Sun Moon Lake Field Music and Fireworks Festival
The Sun Moon Lake Field Music and Fireworks Festival, which grandly kicks off every October, uses the area’s stunning lake and mountain scenery as its natural stage, complemented by a spectacular musical fireworks show that draws thousands of pilgrims each year. With melodious symphonic music echoing against the shimmering lakeside fireworks, visitors can immerse themselves even more deeply in the beauty of Sun Moon Lake.

2. Pinglin Fresh / Wild Fun Concert
The Pinglin Fresh Music Festival just wrapped up in September amid the refreshing aroma of tea, and this Saturday (12/5), it’s followed by the Pinglin Wild Fun Concert. Want to see bands and singers like Echo, Quarterback, Frandé, and Yoga Lin up close? Due to a 1,000-person attendance limit, it’s advised to arrive early to grab a good spot!

3. Taroko Gorge Music Festival
The Taroko Gorge Music Festival has been held annually around October since 2002, making it the biggest autumn event in Taroko National Park. Each year, world-class performing arts troupes are invited, including cellist Chang Cheng-chieh, conductor Wan Wen-pin, Hu Defu and Wild Fire Music Collective, U-Theatre, and others. Amidst the golden autumn breeze, they create music through notes, rhythms, movement, and harmony with nature—a performance hailed by netizens as an “unmissable” outdoor concert.

4. Witch Festival
The legendary live music venue "Witch House," nestled in a lane on Xinyi South Road near Gongguan and home to countless musicians like Chang Hui-mei and Chen Qizhen, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Starting December 18th, it will host a large outdoor music festival called “Witch Festival,” inviting both veteran and new fans to return to the mountains and forests for a wild celebration. Legendary artists who’ve grown from fledgling performers to icons here will all take the stage—it’s a rare opportunity you won’t want to miss!

5. North Coast Sea Sounds Music Festival – Yehliu Night
Held every summer, the “North Coast Sea Sounds Music Festival – Yehliu Night” features a program mainly of classical, jazz, and soft rock genres, with only 100 to 200 tickets available for sale per performance. Audiences can enjoy the performances of talented vocalists under the embrace of the blue sea and sky, experiencing an unparalleled sensory feast.

6. Oyster Pier Fishing Village Mini Rock
Oyster Pier Fishing Village Mini Rock exudes the most authentic local Taiwanese and ocean vibes. The stage is set right by the harbor where the locals fish, breaking away from the norm of Taiwan’s music festivals often being “parachuted in” by external teams. Without government subsidies, it’s entirely planned by local residents and returning youth, and it made a stunning debut in 2012.

7. Chihshang Harvest Moon Music Festival
Now in its seventh consecutive year, the Chihshang Harvest Moon Music Festival weaves sound waves with golden rice waves as performers dance and leap vigorously amid the yellow fields — a surreal sight that’s truly unforgettable. Last year, A-Mei joined the festival for the first time, attracting numerous fans to the event.

8. Tiger Mountain Music Festival
Dubbed the “mini version of Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival,” the “Tiger Mountain Music Festival” takes place in Weiyuan Tiger Mountain, emphasizing a return to nature and an escape from urban noise. Leveraging locally accessible venues, the festival combines music, food, and natural beauty, inviting people back into nature’s embrace. A diverse lineup of bands delivers captivating performances to satisfy different music fans, featuring American classic jazz, soul, blues, swing, rock, DJs, and more.

9. Meinong Pastoral Music Festival
Meinong, a Hakka town once known as the “important granary of southern Taiwan,” has a rich musical heritage. The unique mountain songs and bayin (traditional eight-tone ensemble) of Hakka culture, nurtured by early “singers of life,” are simple yet melodious. Despite the decline of traditional industries, the reverence for farmland and labor remains strong. Now in its fourth year, the Meinong Pastoral Music Festival sings out in the fields, touching the deep emotions buried in everyone’s heart.

10.Hunter Rock
In 2012, in conjunction with the centennial celebration of British wellington brand Hunter, Hunter Rock appeared in Taipei, instantly turning the entire rock zone into a catwalk. Hunter Rock became an annual pilgrimage event for fashion-forward men and women. In 2015, with the theme “Back to Basics,” it symbolized Hunter’s journey from the wilderness, through two royal commendations and onto the international fashion stage, while still maintaining its pure brand commitment and spirit. The event also featured artist Wei Ru-xuan.
