Visiting a travel fair can also mean enjoying delicious food — steak, Peking duck, and beef noodles are all available if you’re willing to queue up.

In addition to heading to Hall 1 of the World Trade Center to snag discounted travel deals, visitors flocked to Hall 3, where hotel operators were gathered, all in hopes of grabbing meal vouchers. Beyond the bargains, this year’s travel fair also featured free food tastings offered by hotels. While not as extensive as at a food expo, there were still free samples of steak, Peking duck, and beef noodles to enjoy.

The ITF Taipei International Travel Fair kicked off bustling on October 27. In addition to snagging discounted travel packages at Hall 1 of the World Trade Center, Hall 3, where hotel operators are concentrated, was also packed with visitors all eager to grab meal vouchers. Beyond the deals, this year’s travel fair also featured free food samplings offered by hotels. Though not as extensive as at a food expo, there were still free tastings of steak, Peking duck, and beef noodles.

On-site food tastings at the travel fair: Offered every two hours, featuring a mix of Western and Chinese cuisine. Western options include PRIME beef short ribs, charcoal-grilled New York strip steak, and premium American ribeye steak. Chinese selections include Boston lobster rice, shrimp roe braised chicken lion’s head, and roast duck.
