The ITF Taipei International Travel Fair officially kicked off on the 27th, with a variety of discounted travel packages, accommodation vouchers, and meal coupons attracting those in need to rush to snap them up. As in previous years, shortly after the venue opened, long queues formed at the booths of Silks Club Hotels & Resorts and The House Group, and multiple hotel brands saw corporate clients spending over a million NT dollars. Among them, a corporate client from The Landis Hotels & Resorts Group even played the on-site claw machine game 78 times.
As of 5 PM on the first day of this year’s ITF Travel Fair, Silks Club Hotels & Resorts achieved online sales of approximately 3 million NT dollars and on-site sales of about 12 million NT dollars. The best-selling item was the Sanchuan Benjia and Sanchuan Miramar R-Light Dumpling Buffet Hot Pot All-You-Can-Eat Coupon for Two (discounted price $1,199). Meanwhile, The House Group, which had four hotels participating together, saw its top-selling product on the first day be the Twelve Kitchen buffet voucher, with over 10,000 sold. Exploration Kitchen also had a corporate client who spent a million NT dollars in one go, purchasing 1,000 Exploration Kitchen buffet vouchers (each priced over a thousand NT dollars, totaling over a million), making it the single highest sale for The House Group on the 27th. Overall, the group’s sales exceeded 34 million NT dollars.
In addition to The House Group and The Landis Hotels & Resorts Group booths seeing million-NT-dollar clients, Taipei Grand Hyatt Hotel also had such clients, with the single largest transaction being for 800 vouchers (nearly 1.2 million NT dollars), bringing total sales to 8 million NT dollars. The best-selling item remained the Kai-Fay House combo meal voucher. Separately, Caesar Park Hotel Group (7 hotels) sold a total of 10,780 accommodation and meal vouchers (including 10,240 combo meal vouchers), with total sales exceeding 7 million NT dollars.
Although the booth for Taipei Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel was not large this year, its first-day sales were around 2 million NT dollars, mainly concentrated on all-you-can-eat items such as Chengjiang Hotpot at the main building and the Boutique Lounge Gourmet Buffet, as well as Chaoyue Collection outside the hotel, all of which were very popular. The Chaoyue Collection’s Peking Duck set menu voucher (priced at 8,900 NT dollars, with the lowest discount of 48% at the venue) also sold more than 20 sets.
Taipei Mandarin Oriental Hotel launched its buffet vouchers for the first time this year — the “Mandarin Café Deli ‘Eat’ Bar & Weekend Fresh ‘Eat’ Bar Vouchers,” sold in a set of six for 9,900 NT dollars. One customer bought 75 sets and additionally purchased 150 sets of afternoon tea vouchers (each set 5,000 NT dollars), resulting in a total swipe of 1.5 million NT dollars. Meanwhile, Taipei Far Eastern Hotel’s first-day sales exceeded 5 million NT dollars, with the Far Eastern Café buffet voucher remaining the top seller, showing a 10% increase in performance compared to last year. The Cloudland Tourism Group also saw about a 30% increase in first-day sales compared to the previous year.
