New Taipei Christmas Tree Adds More 3D Light Projections & Second Wave of Main Light Show Debuts

Since its opening on November 20, the first wave of the 360-degree 3D light sculpture projections featuring the Christmas tree as the main light attraction at New Taipei Christmas Town has received continuous praise. On December 11, the second wave of the main light show made its debut with even more spectacular 3D special effects and animations, taking the public on a magical and magnificent journey aboard a spaceship sailing through outer space.

The second wave of the main light show continues the theme story of the first wave, “Earth Chapter – In Search of Star Power,” where the Bear Family, after finding the power of the stars, embarks on a series of adventures in the “Space Chapter – A Fantastic Journey.” The Christmas bamboo shoot is transformed into a cool silver rocket, a mysterious red planet, a BlingBling upside-down world, and a dreamy candy wonderland, allowing the Bear Family to continue spreading the greatest joy and gifts across various planetary worlds.The second wave of the main light show will be performed twice daily at every half-hour and full hour from 17:30 to 22:00.

According to the rankings from Internet Temperature, the “Top 10 Unimaginable 3D Light Shows” list ranks Tokyo Disneyland’s 3D light show as No. 1, New Taipei City’s Happy Christmas Town 3D light sculpture projection tree as No. 2, and Osaka Castle’s 3D light show as No. 3. Among the top 10, four Taiwanese attractions have made the list — truly a “glorious triumph”!

As for the 3D light sculpture show at New Taipei Happy Christmas Town, it is the world’s only 360-degree 3D stereoscopic light sculpture projection Christmas tree. In 2015, the New Taipei City Government invited the world-renowned 3D light sculpture production team The Electric Canvas (TEC) from Australia, up-and-coming illustrator “Cat King Not Pleasant,” and renowned violinist “Teacher Lee Sihui” to collaborate in creating a stunning 5-minute main light show.
