This year’s Shimen Tourism Festival combines elements of anime, and even turns Shimen Reservoir into a mystery room that participants must figure out how to escape.The escape puzzle game consists of five riddles (including pre-event notifications and post-game explanations), with a 60-minute exploration time. Attractions such as Huan Cui Tower, Nan Yuan Park, Shimen Scenic View, and the Midline Pavilion will all serve as challenge stages.Participants can enjoy the thrill of an escape room while taking in the beauty of Shimen Reservoir.

In addition, on the 19th and 20th, the event will also launch a “Special Christmas Party Plan for Shimen.” In addition to adding romantic Christmas decorations to the event venue at Nan Yuan Ecological Park and around the anime character mascots, Santa Claus will also make surprise appearances around the park to hand out small Christmas gifts, allowing visitors to soak up the festive atmosphere. Shuttle buses are also available within the park, so visitors can take them to embark on a puzzle-solving adventure and experience the beauty of culture in Shimen as the holidays approach.

This event location: No. 2, Ji’an Road, Ji’an Village, Longtan District, Taoyuan City
Event time: December 12, 13, 19, 20, from 10:00–17:00. No session limits, daily registration capped at 2,000 people
Fee: Free
Event souvenir: Upon successfully solving the puzzle, receive one limited-edition event souvenir per day (300 per day, total 1,000 available)
Notes: Registration for the final escape puzzle session closes at 4:00 PM, souvenir exchange until 5:00 PM
