Located along the Erchong Floodway, the Wedding Plaza of Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park features 140,000 plants planted by New Taipei City Government, including salvia, snapdragons, begonias, and dianthus, creating a stunning sea of flowers.
To match the festive atmosphere of Christmas and the New Year, the flowers this time are specially chosen in red, pink, and golden-yellow hues, adding a cheerful touch to New Taipei City’s riverside parks. In addition to enjoying and taking photos up close, visitors can also overlook the area from the nearby dike-top walkways, where they’ll notice the flower arrangements form the shape of a butterfly spreading its wings.
New Taipei City noted that the riverside park flower season is expected to last until Lunar New Year, and the public can take advantage of the holiday to visit the Wedding Plaza at Taipei Metropolitan Park and admire the beautiful flower sea.
