Cherry blossoms in spring, water fun in summer for cooling off, autumn foliage in fall, and hot spring soaks and strawberry picking in winter — let’s go camping this winter！With proper warmth measures and full gear, winter camping offers a unique charm. 《ETtoday Eastday News Cloud》 has specially selected three campsites where you can enjoy hot springs, adding a touch of warmth and joy to the winter season. Beginners can opt for lower-altitude campsites with milder temperatures, still allowing you to enjoy the beautiful winter scenery and get close to nature！

1. Pacific Emerald Bay Hot Spring Resort
Address: No. 1, Haijing Rd., Wanli District, New Taipei City

Just a 30-minute drive from Taipei, the Pacific Emerald Bay Hot Spring Resort, which opened its camping area this July, includes free entry and access to on-site facilities with your campsite booking. From May to October, you can enjoy the outdoor seawater pool and splash pool for free to cool off; in winter, you can use indoor facilities such as spa pools and gender-separated nude hot springs. Located on the beach of northern Taiwan, the camping area is set on open grassland within the resort, with easy walking access to the beach for waves and sand. One of the highlights of Pacific Emerald Bay is that you can enjoy sea views right from the campsite.

2. Yuetai Hot Spring Camping Area
Address: No. 46-2, Yuandun, Jingshui Village, Tai’an Township, Miaoli County

Located in the Tai’an Hot Spring area of Miaoli, the Yuetai Hot Spring Camping Area is next to the Atayal Cultural Museum. Aside from beautiful scenery, there’s no worry about having nowhere to explore nearby. The park not only features open camping grounds but also homestays, hot spring rooms, and facilities such as a large massage pool and SPA water jets. To enjoy a hot spring soak here, just pay an additional cleaning fee and per-person charge. The spring water here is weak alkaline carbonated water with a pH of 8 — the legendary Beauty’s Hot Spring. Its convenient location allows visitors to combine camping and hot spring soaking with a cultural trip to the nearby Atayal Cultural Museum for an intellectual outdoor holiday.

3. Donggang Xiuchuan
Address: No. 31-6, Lane 2, Section 3, Hot Spring Rd., Ruisui Township, Hualien County

Situated in Ruisui Township, Hualien, Donggang Xiuchuan is a well-known hot spring campsite in eastern Taiwan. The name “Donggang” refers to the eastern high mountains, while “Xiuchuan” means the beautiful Shouguan River. In addition to the camping area, it is also a hot spring hotel offering services such as public pools, private hot spring rooms, and couple’s rooms. After warming up in the hot spring room, you can return to the grassy field to stargaze and enjoy the moon in the company of nature. If you have elders who aren’t used to camping in tents, they can stay in the hotel and still enjoy the fun of an outdoor trip together.
