Ring in the New Year in nature! 18 elementary schools in Hualien open for camping, 4 of them free

The Hualien County Government announced that during the 2016 Spring Festival holiday, 18 schools will be opened as camping sites,with 4 of them available free of charge. Registration is now open, allowing travelers to get closer to nature and experience a unique stay.

Schools open for camping during the Lunar New Year holiday:Xiubao Elementary School, Heping Elementary School, Chongde Elementary School, Jiamin Elementary School, Wenlan Elementary School, Tonglan Elementary School in Xiulin Township; Huagang Junior High School in Hualien City; Ruisui Junior High School in Ruisui Township; Taiping Elementary School, Shan Elementary School, Zhuoxi Elementary School in Zhuoxi Township; Yuli Junior High School in Yuli Town; Lehe Elementary School; Jianqing Elementary School in Fuli Township; Fuli Elementary School in Fuli Township; along the coastal route including Shuilian Elementary School in Shoufeng Township, Fengbin Elementary School in Fengbin Township, and Gangkou Elementary School— a total of 18 schools are opening their grounds for camping.

The county government’s Education Department reminds campers to take care of public property, strictly follow the rules: no open fires for cooking, no unauthorized power connections, no littering, and no loud noise. Be sure to take all trash away when leaving to help maintain the cleanliness and tranquility of the campuses. To help preserve a clean environment, please register and book in advance according to school regulations.
