It’s finally about to open! The Regent Taipei is scheduled to begin trial operations on January 9.

The shocking Regent Huang family shooting incident that occurred in November (2015) — which claimed the life of Huang Ming-jen, who was also chairman of The Regent Taipei — led to Chen Chun-tong, former vice chairman of the hotel, taking over as chairman. With the leadership transition, it has now been confirmed that The Regent Taipei will commence trial operations on January 9.

The Regent Taipei offers 146 refined guest rooms and suites, each designed with at least 15 ping (approx. 49.5 m²) of space and 3.4-meter-high ceilings for an airy feel. Outdoor amenities include a heated swimming pool and sauna. The location is close to the Taipei Metro Wenhu Line’s Chien-Kuo North Road Station, adjacent to the Neihu Technology Park and Nangang Software Park, ensuring excellent connectivity. It provides easy access to Taipei World Trade Center Xinyi and Taipei 101, as well as nearby attractions such as the Miramar Ferris Wheel, National Palace Museum, and Shilin Night Market.

For dining, there are five themed restaurants: the buffet “the palette,” Cantonese and Hong Kong cuisine “Chao Yue Fang,” Japanese restaurant “Qing Shan,” traditional Taiwanese fare “Mi Xiang,” European restaurant “GMT,” and a poolside bar “Cocoon.” Leveraging the Regent Group’s strength in premium ingredients, the hotel serves top-quality and authentic flavors. The banquet hall features a 7-meter-high ceiling and the nation’s first 360-degree circular synchronized LED screen.
