Taiwan’s Flight Safety Role Model: EVA Air Again Named World’s Safest Airline!

The renowned aviation industry evaluation website AirlineRatings.com has released its latest flight safety ranking results, with Taiwan’s EVA Air once again ranking among the world’s safest airlines due to its outstanding performance. It joins internationally renowned carriers such as Qantas, All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Japan Airlines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and Air New Zealand in being named one of the “World’s Safest Airlines.” This marks the third time EVA Air has received this prestigious honor.

Geoffrey Thomas, Editor-in-Chief of AirlineRatings.com, stated: “The 20 safest airlines we have selected are models of flight safety. These companies are at the forefront of industry innovation, using the latest technology to enhance flight quality, including advanced fleets, maintenance management, and flight training.” He added: “Our judges were deeply impressed by EVA Air’s dedication to meticulous management and its flawless safety record. We’ve found that the safest airlines are often also the best service providers.”

Since 2013, AirlineRatings.com has conducted the “World’s Safest Airlines” ranking. Previously, only the “Top 10 Safest Airlines” were selected, but this year, to introduce more airlines committed to maintaining flight safety to global travelers, the list has been expanded to include twenty airlines (World’s Top 20 Safest Airlines).

This aviation evaluation agency reviewed a total of 407 airlines worldwide. The judging panel first conducted a preliminary screening based on seven criteria (note), including regulations from international aviation organizations, civil aviation authority audit results, and airline safety records. A second rigorous evaluation was then carried out, focusing on factors such as fleet operation, maintenance standards, and safety records, to determine the world’s safest airlines.

EVA Air Chairman Chang Kuo-wei expressed his honor at being selected once again from among more than 400 airlines globally. He thanked aviation professionals for their recognition, emphasizing that flight safety is EVA Air’s most fundamental and important commitment. He hopes this achievement will demonstrate to the world that EVA Air from Taiwan is among the top performers in global flight safety, showcasing Taiwan’s aerospace technological soft power to the international community.

EVA Air has previously been awarded by this evaluation website as one of the “Top Ten Best Airlines” and the “Top Ten Best Cabin Service Airlines,” among many other accolades. Now, with its recognition as one of the world’s safest airlines, it has earned high praise from international authorities for both its flight safety and service quality.
