Believe it or not, many people harbor dreams of soaring through the skies. When flying, looking out the airplane window also offers a glimpse of the world above. ANA recently released a series of time-lapse videos shot from inside the cockpit, authentically presenting the flight view from the pilot’s seat, allowing the public to gain a deeper understanding of the commercial flight process.

From the videos shared by ANA this time, viewers can clearly understand the communication between the pilots and air traffic control, as well as catch a glimpse of the unique features of different airports. The footage captured aboard a B777-200 flight from Haneda to Nagasaki not only opens with Japan’s most iconic “Mount Fuji” shortly after takeoff, but also gives a clear view, from the pilot’s angle, of Nagasaki Airport’s distinctive seascape.

Built in 1975, Nagasaki Airport is Japan’s and the world’s first “sea-based airport.” Though other airports, including those in Hawaii (USA) and Singapore’s Changi Airport, are also built on reclaimed land, Nagasaki Airport holds a special place in the hearts of aviation enthusiasts. Through the video, viewers can see the outline of Nagasaki Airport gradually emerging, getting closer over the sea, until it finally lands smoothly on the runway and comes to a safe stop. Many netizens who watched the video commented that it offers a rare and never-before-seen perspective, and is incredibly impressive and bold.
