Planning 100 photo spots! The "High Heel Church" in Budai will definitely be open before the Lunar New Year.

The High Heel Church, located in Haiging Park in Budai Township, Chiayi, has become a popular new tourist attraction due to its unique design and surrounding scenic photo spots. Although it has not officially opened to the public, it has already attracted many visitors for photography and sightseeing. The South Cloud, Jiayi, and Tainan Coastal National Scenic Area Administration recently revealed:“It will be open for visits before the Lunar New Year!”

On January 7, Zheng Rong-de, director of the South Cloud, Jiayi, and Tainan Coastal National Scenic Area Administration, said in an interview with media outlets that they are planning 100 photo spots, and 71 have already been completed. The site will be open to the public before the Lunar New Year.

The Glass Shoe High Heel Church, standing 17 meters tall and 11 meters wide, and composed of 320 glass panels, is a large-scale art installation newly created by the South Cloud, Jiayi, and Tainan Coastal National Scenic Area Administration after the Beimen Crystal Church. It carries the meaning of a bride stepping on a tile with her high heels before entering her husband’s family.

The Engineering Section of the South Cloud, Jiayi, and Tainan Coastal National Scenic Area Administration stated,The 100 photo elements planned for the church mainly revolve around the themes of “love and happiness.” Therefore, besides love seats, there will also be cute elements such as dessert-shaped installations. Recently, large chocolate-shaped artworks and hot air balloons imported from South Korea will also be added,while greening work will be accelerated to ensure the Glass Shoe High Heel Church can officially open 1–2 days before the Lunar New Year.

The main structure of the Glass Shoe High Heel Church was completed at the end of 2015, but to ensure construction quality, it is still cordoned off and can currently only be admired from a distance. Visitors will be able to experience the charm of the church up close after its Lunar New Year opening.
