Shilin Night Market Food Zone Reopens – Get NT$150 Vouchers Based on Your ID Number’s Last Digit

Visiting Shilin Night Market for food is definitely a top choice for many tourists coming to Taiwan. The Shilin Night Market Food Zone had previously been undergoing renovation to improve dining and operational spaces. It started repairs on November 30 and has recently reopened.To celebrate its reopening, Shilin Market is holding four rounds of promotional events. Visitors can exchange the last digit of their ID number for a NT$150 voucher and enjoy the “You Eat, We Pay” deal.

The opening series of events will last for a month. Among them, the “Generous Feast” event runs from January 9 to January 10 at 7 PM, where diners in the B1 Food Zone may be treated. The market will draw stall numbers on-site, and once the designated table is found, all meals ordered at that table will be paid for by the market. A total of 20 lucky groups will be selected.

Then, from January 12 to 15, visitors can exchange the last digit of their ID number for a NT$150 market voucher at the service desk on the 1st floor plaza of Shilin Market (limited to 200 people per day). Additionally, from January 12 to 24, anyone who makes purchases in the B1 Food Zone can get a limited-number entry to join a lucky draw. Prizes are all in the form of market consumption vouchers, with a total prize pool of up to NT$100,000.

This event has specially collaborated with an illustrator known for spotting vibrant commercial districts to design 4 different hand-drawn postcards of Shilin Market from unique perspectives. During the 13-day celebration event, these will be placed in the B1 Food Zone for visitors to collect in stages. Just visit a few times to complete the set.
