Surrounded by the landscapes of the Huatung Valley and nestled in the Ruisui Hot Spring area, Songyi Manor was completed in the second half of 2015 and has begun trial operations. It sets itself apart from the more densely clustered hot spring hotels in the Ruisui area by offering an independent and tranquil manor-style homestay experience. Guests can enjoy free bicycles to explore the surroundings. The manor is expected to officially open in February.

Handcrafted by the owner, Mr. Wu, and his family, Songyi Manor boasts excellent natural lighting and wide-open views. The entire property consists of nine mountain-view suites, each with a unique theme based on its name. Every suite is equipped with a private terrace hot spring tub, allowing guests to enjoy the bliss of soaking in the mountains surrounded by mist and connecting closely with nature. The hot spring source at Songyi Manor is located on the southern foothills of Hutou Mountain at the upper reaches of Hongye Creek, with water temperatures around 62 degrees Celsius. The spring water is of high quality and is one of only two sodium bicarbonate chloride springs in Taiwan—apart from Guanziling—that are both drinkable and bathable, also known as the "male-enhancing spring." Each room has access to hot spring facilities, and there is also an open-air hot spring house on the rooftop where guests can soak under the starry night sky.

The manor is named after the first names of the owners, and its English name, “Silence,” reflects its serene atmosphere—a place away from the hustle and bustle, where the heart can be lost in the beauty of the mountains and waters. It is especially suitable for those yearning for tranquility and nature. In addition to providing free bicycles for exploring nearby attractions, the manor has no excessive artificial facilities. What you see are the natural wonders of the Huatung Valley, with lush greenery meeting the blue sky and an unobstructed view that captures the ever-changing sea of clouds over the Central Mountain Range.

As the manor is a bit far from the city center, it offers an all-inclusive package of one night’s stay with three meals and afternoon tea. In collaboration with local contracted small-scale farmers, the chef personally selects fresh ingredients every day before designing the day’s menu. Here, it’s rare to have the same dish twice, as the chef believes that even different parts of the same vegetable offer varying textures and tenderness, warranting different cooking methods.
