Pompompurin, which won first place in Japan’s 2015 Sanrio Character Ranking, has been extremely popular. The long-awaited Pompompurin-themed restaurant, POMPOMPURIN Cafe, has now confirmed its opening date as January 19. The official Facebook page has also revealed the menu, featuring highly cute recommended dishes such as adorable Mexican rice, Neapolitan tomato spaghetti, unbeatable pancake towers, and creamy bacon and mushroom pasta. Other items on the menu are equally charming.
In fact, Pompompurin was created back in 1996 and can be seen on many stationery items, boasting a large fan base. However, within just one year, three POMPOMPURIN Cafes were opened in Japan (in Tokyo, Osaka, and Yokohama), showcasing its immense popularity. Now, the Pompompurin-themed restaurant is making its way to Taiwan, with its first store set to open on the fifth floor of ATT 4 FUN in Taipei’s Xinyi District.
