It's been 10 years — Snow in Nantou’s “Cingjing Farm”! Farm closed on the 24th

A fierce cold wave swept across Taiwan, bringing snow reports from various parts of the island. Located at a high altitude, Cingjing Farm also saw snowfall starting early in the morning on the 24th, instantly transforming the entire area into a “mini Europe.” The farm also announced that it would be closed for the day on the 24th due to the heavy snow.

A powerful cold front hit Taiwan, causing snow to fall in mountainous regions above 1,000 meters in elevation. Although snow accumulation was not deep at Cingjing Farm, the surrounding mountain slopes were covered in a blanket of white, giving visitors the feeling of being in Europe. This is the first time in 10 years that Cingjing Farm has seen snow again. Due to the snowfall and in the interest of visitor safety, the farm announced on the morning of the 24th that Qingqing Grassland would be temporarily closed for the day.

The Puli Engineering Section also reminded travelers that the snow line had descended to the Wushe area in Ren’ai Township. Currently, vehicles traveling on Provincial Highway 14A beyond the 7.5K mark (Cingjing) must be equipped with snow chains. Travelers and residents should also install snow chains when road surfaces are snowy or icy, and must comply with on-site traffic controls.
