“What lovely roses, I’ve fallen for them deeply.” This is a classic lyric from the well-known song “Lovely Roses,” but someone has actually made dumplings in the shape of roses—so you can not only fall in love with their beauty but also enjoy their delicious taste.

▲These pink rose dumplings are sure to spark your inner girliness.

Lv Ruibin, a Western-style pastry and bread baker from Dashu, Kaohsiung, has transformed the common dumpling into a rose shape. The appearance is so lifelike it’s as if you’re really seeing a rose in full bloom. However, crafting these dumplings is quite labor-intensive—it takes about ten times longer than making a regular dumpling to create one rose dumpling. The craftsmanship is meticulous. Lv Ruibin started making “rose dumplings” out of concern for his mother, who runs a breakfast shop and works too hard. He returned home to help run the business and began developing the “rose dumplings.” Unexpectedly, once he started, they went viral online and became a popular delicacy.

▲Currently, there are six flavors available, each with a unique meaning, showcasing great creativity.

Currently, there are six types of dumpling flavors offered, symbolizing various emotions: the black rose representing first love, the sweet rose embodying sweet memories of first love, the romantic rose capturing the vibe of passionate romance, the longing rose expressing yearning, the energetic health rose, and the cheesy rose full of creamy aroma. Each flavor consists of different ingredients, allowing you to feel the meaning behind every dumpling through its unique taste.

Rose dumplings also have a special way of being eaten—start by eating the petals to feel their chewy texture, then take a big bite of the center to experience the unique flavor inside. If you think giving roses on Valentine’s Day is too ordinary, try a box of these creatively designed rose dumplings to elevate your mutual happiness and gratitude.
