Swiss Jungfrau Railway is introducing new facilities. In the future, travelers heading to the Jungfraujoch will have the option of taking a brand-new cable car on certain routes, in addition to the existing railway. This will reduce total travel time by 20 minutes and offer stunning views of the continuous mountain peaks before reaching the Jungfraujoch.

The Jungfrau Railway Company stated that the new “V-cableway” cable car on the Jungfraujoch is expected to be completed in 2018. It will replace the old cable car between Männlichen Glacier and Grindelwald Grund, and extend with a new cable car from Grindelwald Grund to Eigergletscher. In the future, travelers heading to the Jungfraujoch will have the option of taking a cable car on certain routes, in addition to the existing railway, allowing them to enjoy the outdoor mountain peak scenery, and the cable car ride will be 20 minutes shorter than the current journey.
