Freshly Baked Semi-Soft Cheese Tart – PABLO
When it comes to cheese desserts, the hottest one right now is PABLO’s freshly baked semi-soft cheese tart, ranked No.1 in Osaka. This dreamy dessert features a uniquely developed “semi-soft” baking level that makes the filling rich but not greasy, smooth and delicious—so good that many in Japan are willing to wait an hour or two just to have a bite. The freshly baked matcha, white bean paste, and red bean semi-soft cheese tart combines imported cheese, Uji matcha powder, red bean paste, and mochi, all hand-mixed. The bitterness of the matcha balances the sweetness of the cheese, while the layers of red bean paste and mochi offer a rich, multifaceted texture. Meanwhile, the Gold Label Cheese Tart is made with two premium types of cheese, topped with a crispy layer of baked custard caramel for a dense, creamy mouthfeel.

Impression
The Japanese Kobe-based dessert brand “Impression” has officially opened at Linkou Mitsui Outlet Park. The Taiwanese branch of Impression focuses on “cheese tarts,” offering handcrafted versions with a daily limited supply of 2,500 tarts at NT$45 each. The cheese filling blends three different cream cheeses from Hokkaido’s Takano, France’s Elle & Vire, and Australia. At room temperature, the texture resembles a cheese mousse; when chilled or slightly thawed, it feels like ice cream; and when microwaved or baked, the filling becomes gooey and bursts in your mouth.

LeTAO Songyan Store

The Taiwanese branch of the popular Hokkaido Otaru dessert shop LeTAO has opened near the entrance of Taipei’s Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. This is LeTAO’s first overseas branch under the same name, and you can also enjoy their signature double-layer cheese cake here. To maintain authenticity, the cakes are made in Japan and then flown to Taiwan. The original double-layer cheese cake combines Italian mascarpone cheese, Australian cream cheese, and rich Hokkaido fresh cream. One layer is a no-bake chilled cheese cake, the other is a baked cheese cake—both incredibly rich and melt-in-your-mouth. Aside from the original flavor, there are also chocolate and seasonal matcha flavors, which are equally popular.
