Visiting Macau during the Lunar New Year? Don’t miss the float parade performances！ On the third (February 10) and sixth (February 13) days of the Lunar New Year, Macau will host a large-scale outdoor celebration event themed “Lucky Stars Shine on Macau – The Monkey Year Float Parade & Show.” The program includes float parades, performances by a thousand participants, fireworks, and float exhibitions. This year, the event is uniquely tied together by the story of the Monkey King, and for the first time ever, features a multimedia-themed opening performance.

The float parade has become one of Macau’s iconic festive events. This year’s parade features four performance themes: Lucky Stars Shine Bright, God of Wealth & Lucky Stars Deliver Gifts, Starry Music Spreads Fortune, and Lucky Stars Illuminate the City. A total of 14 floats will take part, along with 28 Macau-based groups and 9 performing troupes from Mainland China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Portugal, Spain, and the United States, involving a total of 1,338 performers.

Among the entertainers, Hong Kong singers Pakho Chau, Alex Fong Lik-Sun, and Stephy Tang will perform on the evening of the third day of the Lunar New Year. Popular Hong Kong TV hosts Lok Yeung and Yuen Siu-Yee will serve as guest hosts that night, adding to the festive and lively atmosphere.

The opening ceremony of the float parade on the third day of the Lunar New Year (February 10) will begin at 7:30 PM at the square in front of the Macau Science Museum, proceeding along Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen to the finish line at Sai Van Lake Square in front of the Macau Tower. On the sixth day of the Lunar New Year (February 13), the parade will start at 8:00 PM from Rua do Patane Norte, traveling along Avenida da Ilha Verde, Estrada do Arco, Rua Quarta do Hác Sá, and ending at the Municipal Market Park, where a stage performance will be held. The Macao Government Tourism Office will operate seven free shuttle bus routes between Macau, Coloane, and Taipa, facilitating convenient travel for visitors to the event area.
