Soak in a floral wonderland at this limited-time pink bathhouse near Tokyo Skytree

When traveling in Japan, experiencing local culture is a must, and one unique way to immerse yourself in everyday Japanese life is by visiting a "sento" (public bathhouse). A recent sento in Tokyo has been transformed by internationally renowned photographer Mika Ninagawa into an incredible bathing space adorned with vibrant floral art, offering visitors a one-of-a-kind soak surrounded by blossoms — available from now until the end of March.

This glamorous sento,Yotsuya Onsen Natural Hot Spring Daiyu, is located in Yotsuya, Tokyo. It’s a collaboration between a well-known shampoo brand and Mika Ninagawa — step inside and you’re instantly transported into her artistic world. The changing room features large peach-hued camellia flower decorations covering the walls, and even the simple glass windows have been replaced with colorful versions, making you feel like you’ve entered a floral paradise.

The plain white-tiled walls of the bathing area are also decorated with huge red camellia flowers, and all the chairs and tubs have been changed to a uniform shade of pink, creating a vivid world that perfectly represents Mika Ninagawa’s style. This luxurious space is sure to attract many female visitors. But this design is only available for a limited time, from now until March 31st, so visitors can stop by while heading to Tokyo Skytree.
