Act fast if you want to go — Chiayi’s “National Palace Museum Southern Branch” offers free entry to all until the end of March

The Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum in Chiayi has been in trial operation since the end of last year and has so far attracted over 200,000 visitors. The museum authorities stated,during the trial period, entry is free for all residents of Taiwan, but only until March 31,and reminded those who wish to visit to seize the opportunity, as advance online reservations are required.

The Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum announced that online reservations for visits in March will open at noon on the 20th, with a daily limit of 5,000 reservations, available on a first-come, first-served basis. The museum also reminded visitors that those who successfully reserve a spot must present their “reservation number” to collect their tickets on the day of the visit. Those who fail to secure a reservation or arrive more than 20 minutes late will have to wait for standby spots. In addition,to serve local residents, people from Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan can enjoy free entry with their ID cards until June 30.
