Afraid of the cold while enjoying New York’s night views in winter? Try a "bubble pod" to stay warm and sip cocktails

Winter temperatures in New York can drop to around freezing, and few travelers are likely to brave the bone-chilling winds to sit in an open-air viewing area to admire the city’s nightlife—stunning as it may be. But The Hyatt Times Square has come up with a solution: offering guests "bubble pods" where they can enjoy drinks while taking in the night scenery.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the 54 Bar's "bubble pods" aim to help travelers enjoy the night views even in cold weather, and there are two of them: the "East Bubble" and the "West Bubble." Guests can overlook New York from the comfort of these bubbles while sitting on the open-air terrace.

While the drinks aren’t cheap—cocktails start at around NT$700—the view is well worth it. The venue also provides blankets, and if you get hungry, there are food options available.
